The following is a brief outline of the coming year.

1) Youth Ministry classes will be held on the First Saturday of the month unless otherwise noted in annual calendar.
Each session will begin with attendance at the 5:00pm Mass for both students and their families. This will be followed by a light dinner in the
Hall for one half hour, followed by an hour of class time.
2) All students are required to attend one annual retreat in Phase I and one in Phase II.
Currently that is the NET Retreat. In addition those in Phase II must attend a Day of Reflection the week before Confirmation.
3) All students are required to attend any special education sessions scheduled for a day or evening other than the first Saturday of the month.
4) All students are required to participate in service projects for the parish and the wider
Community. At least 6 such events are required - three in the parish and 3 in the community.
Such projects required by your school also count when verifiable by a school authority.
(There will be no point system)
5) Students who attend Pope John High School are invited and encouraged to attend class in
Our parish program but are not required to do so. Participation in all other events is required.
This is in keeping with longstanding Diocesan policy.
6) Reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is now moved up to the end of Phase II – late May or early June depending on the date approved by the Bishop’s office.
7) Of course, weekly attendance at Sunday Mass is the most essential component and is expected of all students.

Mass attendance sign-in sheets are available only for Phase II Candidates who will be confirmed in October of this year. All others do not need to sign in.
