Book Discussion Group
The Monthly Book Discussion Group began in July 2000 and has covered spiritual books that are chosen by the group each month. The intended purpose of the group is to engage in independent reading of thess books and to come back each month with insights and reflections that lead to discussions, sharing and everyone's input on the subject matter. Some of the questions we try to answer are: What made the book appealing to read? How can the book bring me closer to God? In what way? Is the author someone that I would enjoy again? Habe my life been changed by this book? In what way?
Meetings are held on Monday Evenings at 7:30 (usually the 3rd Monday of the month) in the Rectory Meeting Room - Dates are published in the weekly bulletin and on the Calendar on this webwsite - or call 973-875-4521

BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP & DISCIPLESHIP SERIES
BEING DISCIPLES OF JESUS
St. Monica’s Book Discussion Group will meet for the second session of our Discipleship series on Monday evening, June 16th at 7:30pm.
Series will also meet on Monday, July 21st and Monday, August 18th – 7:30pm.
We are all called to become disciples of Jesus – and to remain disciples of Jesus – and to bring others to discipleship through our words and actions.
We began to reflect on this call through several scriptural “call narratives” from the Gospel of Mark and then related them to our own lives.
If you would like to join us, plan to attend the next session. To obtain a copy of the book, call Carol at 973-875-4521.
Price: $0.00
